Party!

Everything happens so fast!

Meeting with the Ashland adviser tomorrow morning to make sure everything is set up for me to apply. I'm so excited! Not for the meeting but moving up in my major. I'm put in my classroom for student teaching in three weeks!!

I ran into my pre-calculus teacher from high school Mrs. Barnes today. Apparently her Math for Elementary Teachers II class is right next door to my student teaching one. She told me how different the math department is since 4 teachers retired from it last year. Mr. Gast is retiring this year. Mr. Pearce went to Cincinnati and is expecting a baby (it's about time). I guess that explains why when I went up to the new high school a couple of times I didn't recognize most of the last names.

I finally got into contact with Mrs. Clancy. I don't remember the last time I talked to her but I sent her an email and caught her up on everything. She invited me to chaperone a GATE town hall trip in April. What a blast from the past. She also said Key Club convention has been shortened to Saturday and Sunday only because of costs and low attendance. I'm glad it was 3 days when I went. Some of the best weekends ever. Her and Bob are planning to retire in 2012 and travel in their big 'ol fancy camper. Let the jokes begin!

Screw the Numbers

1. I am so smart, smrt.

2. Had Olive Garden today! I haven't had Olive Garden since we celebrated Evan getting his job at Angelina's...that was last July. Mmmm chicken alfredo pizza and black tie mousse cake.

3. Disney will happen in May of 2012. Probably staying for 10 days instead of a week and possibly (and hopefully) one of those days will be spent at Universal.

4. I've been accepted to graduate in the spring. Setting up a meeting with the Ashland adviser tomorrow to make sure my credits are in order and fill out the application to be sent off for fall.

5. My student teaching professor is AMAZING! Actually all of my professors this semester are pretty epic.

6. I need to clean my room...and do laundry. Ugh.

7. My dad says the weirdest things. "Aww heck, I'm sittin here and I should be flossing." What the heck, dad?

8. I found the program for the 2006 Key Club fall rally. Holy cow.

9. I also need to change my sheets.

10. I can't get my frigginnnn label maker to work. :(

6 Ways

1. I'm so smart I forgot to pay my tuition. Good thing it's not due til Tuesday but it's closed tomorrow and it keeps giving me errors when I try to sign in online. UGH.

2. Somehow, some way if this works out the way I hope it does, I'll be going to Ashland for free.

3. Hoping to graduate with my Associate of Arts in the spring. That took way too long. Never let a councilor schedule your classes, they only gave me 12 credit hours in the beginning when I should have been taking more.

4. Pulling for Ashland in the fall.

5. Getting my license and a car somewhere in between.

6. July will be one busy month. New York, Pittsburgh and possibly Washington DC? I can't wait.

7. I will kick ass this semester. At least, that's what I'm aiming for.

8. The plan is to graduate with my bachelors spring 2013. This will take some major cramming.

9. After graduation start at a preschool or a substitute teacher to gain experience and get some useful skills before I have my own classroom while getting the hell out of Elyria. No offense to Elyria, I love you but I can't stay here forever. I'm thinking Columbus, Florida or anywhere in between.

10. Here goes nothing...

5th Symphony

First day of Spring Semester 2011 is complete! I'm so glad I only have class two days a week even though I'll love my classes (with the exception of math which is pretty much the same as it was last semester).

Today's agenda started with working the ECE club booth. That took 2 hours out of my life and wasn't that bad. I caught up with some people and finished a book. Pretty successful.

Second came math for elementary teachers 2. I think I'll like the second section better than the first because it's a lot more geometry and I love geometry. Pssh I got this.

Third was children's lit. My professor looks like what Miranda Cosgrove will look like in about 40 years...it's kind of freaky. But she's pretty awesome. Everything to her is "enchanting". While we were going around the room talking about what we want to do, the girl next to me says she wants to be a librarian. When I said I worked at a library she practically hugged me. New best friend! I didn't know this was a service learning class which means we'll be doing stuff out in the community. In this case it's reading to children at the center on campus. Those hours will add up to the ones I earned in biology last semester so I'll get to be special and wear a medal at graduation.

Fourth was student teaching seminar. HOLY CRAP does my professor have a shit ton of energy. I was pretty energetic myself but you can only have so much enthusiasm when your "tuna salad" sandwich ended up being "chicken salad" sandwich and you've had a killer headache since math. Love the class though. There's a woman in there who has been teaching for 27 years so she's been giving a ton of stories and stuff to help us out. My professor is in love with Megan and I since we're officers of the ECE club. I asked her if she wanted to be a co-adviser and she almost fell over. I'll be placed at the children's learning center on campus with the head coordinator of the center. We have a dinner where we meet with our teacher in February and discuss when we'll be in the classroom. I'm so excited! :B

4 States of Matter

I'm a lot more ready for this semester than I was for the past fall semester. I'm ready to go back now, mostly because I know I have to. Shitloads to do this semester. I fill out my application for transferring to Ashland, writing lesson plans left and right, actually getting in the classroom (yayyyy!!!!) and more stuff for the club. It's not all going to be fun and games and I'll have random mental breakdowns but I'll survive yet another semester of college, this one being my last one as an LCCC student.

Disney talk with Evan and his family today. We're probably going to end up going in May 2012 since our winter break isn't as long as it used to be for us to go a good time in January. We may also get free tickets to Universal (!!!). Haha maybe I can buy that Harry Potter themed scrapbooking stuff and actually use it for something.

My mom bought me a chocolate turnover from Arby's today. I was pretty damn excited and it's so hard for me to try and resist snarfing the other half of it right now. I think I may watch a movie or something or read. Probably read. I started "I am Number Four" which I didn't find out is going to be a movie until right after I checked it out. So far I'm excited it's going to be a movie because it's pretty good. The part I'm reading now has the characters in Ohio and they're talking about things and I'm like "omg! I know where that is!" like Old Mill Road. Random Ohio freakout time.

3's Company

Oh my. Today has been much of a lazy day, even though I worked this morning. Fir the fourth day in a row I'm getting a headache which I believe is caused by my extremely wacky sleep schedule. I'm off tomorrow but I have to work Saturday and Sunday :/ working weekends blows.

The first week of 2011 has been amazing. Kali stayed the night which hasn't happened in...eons? and I saw a good portion of the crew for a couple days during some crazy shopping extravaganzas which we all found success over.

Officers meeting for the ECE club tomorrow morning. I also have to get my damn textbooks. My mom and I are probably getting lunch at Steak & Shake so I can try the Chocolate Covered Strawberry shake. We're also possibly going to Walmart so I can print pictures from the second half of last year and put all of the pictures from last year on a disc.

Evan has a hankering for Bellacinos again. Apparently we're going there Sunday which I will definitely not object over since I really REALLY want some garlic cheese bread and chicken alfredo pizza. Actually food right now doesn't sound too bad either. I'm off on the hunt!

Take 2

I love how there's someone on facebook who bitches about her boyfriend all the time. New Years came, she got engaged to him, had her "omg he went to jared!" moment and now she's back to bitching again.
Some people shouldn't get engaged.

1

I have a picture frame that says "the girls" on it. I'm having the hardest time finding a picture of all of "the girls" together without a guy in the picture XD
He may just have to be a girl in the picture frame world.

2010 Recap.

Time to flip through my calendar as I do every year to note brilliant things about each year at it's conclusion. Oooh I'm so excited!
First of all, 2010 pretty much kicked 2009's ass which was an epic feat. There are so many great memories that came out of this year. Heads up 2011.

January: A lot of January was spent working on my Disney world scrapbook. As a result of this I currently have nothing else in my life scrapbooked for this year. I will probably spend next month working on that XD. There was sledding, randomly baking cakes, lots of trips to Half Price Books and obviously a lot of eating. The most important part of January was getting my job back at the library. While I was now going to be working at the West River branch it was still really nice to be back to work again. January was also the start of Spring Semester 2010 which currently holds my highest GPA. President Barack Obama came to LCCC which led to one crazy day.

February: Most Thursdays in February were spent taking random trips to McDonalds to visit Brittany. Stephanie and I volunteered at her church to go to the Haven House and organize one of their storage areas. Schoolwork basically dominated my February.

March: My first time at Dave & Busters was for Sara's birthday party. I built the Millennium Falcon out of Legos. We had a bonfire...in March. For St. Patrick's Day a group of us went to the Cleveland Zoo which started the beginning of a chain of drama throughout the year. Best to wash it down with a shamrock shake.

April: "Charlie" was discovered at McDonald's along with empty alcohol bottles in the park across from Finwood Estate. Stephanie's birthday was celebrated with the home opener of the Cleveland Indians which gave us a great workout (but I got the pin!) even though they lost. We also saw Riverdance which was amazing. There was a lot more shopping in April along with a lot more food eating.

May: May was probably one of my most favorite months of 2010. Meranda and I went to see Spring Awakening in Detroit so I finally learned what all of the hooplah had been about for the past year. From this trip I learned that the city of Detroit depresses me because of the tons of gutted out large buildings you see along the highway. Later in the month I returned to Detroit to go to their zoo (my favorite zoo) and ended up going through a not so great part of the city. Tons of boarded up houses (I heard something like 1 out of every 3 houses in Detroit is vacant. They're even selling homes for $1) and the ones that weren't boarded up were plastered with bars on the doors and windows to keep people out. I also went to the Pittsburgh zoo (meh) where Evan bought me the best stuffed penguin EVER. His name is Joe. I also got to go to Amish country for my first time and visited the William McKinley memorial and the National First Ladies museum in Canton. I also went to the Toledo zoo.

June: There was a lot of beach going in June. I was at the lake at least once a week. Stephanie scored free tickets to see "Despicable Me". I worked til 12:30am one night and was paid to play Apples to Apples for four hours. The crew took some time to kick back and relax in Vacationland which is for grilling and not for sock wearing. Evan's grandma turned 80 so we went down to Columbus to have dinner with her and the family. We also stopped at the Harding House in Marion.

July: The 4th of July, or rather the 3rd of July was celebrated at the country club with Evan and his family. My mom and I went down to Columbus to do some shopping. Random sleepover at Brittany's house which was filled with night swimming, tons of food and Brokeback Mountain.

August: My birthday was spent at the Cleveland zoo and I had dinner at the Macaroni Grill with Evan, his family and Courtney which was up from Florida. Meranda and I went to Geauga Lake, my first time at a water park. Beginning of Fall Semester 2010 which I remained on the Dean's List. Jessica and I finally have a class together (gooooo biology!).

September: The Early Childhood Education Club had it's first meeting. Megan and I founded the club and are co-presidents until June. More bonfires, random dressing up to go to the delicious Cheesecake Factory, lots of Arbys.

October: Stayed a weekend in Columbus with my mom to explore and go shopping. We came home with a trunk full of bags. My old laptop crapped out so I bought a new one. Spent Halloween in Columbus for Evan's cousins baby shower.

November: Lots more Arbys. Saw the first performance in the new EHS auditorium. Midnight showing of Harry Potter 7 pt. 1. Cleveland zoo. 3 am Black Friday shopping. Random Black Friday mall time terror with the crew.

December: End of Fall Semester 2010 (thank god), TAB christmas/anniversary party, Straight No Chaser concert, shitloads of Christmas shopping, crappy Christmas Eve, epic Christmas Day, amazing Crew Christmas Party.

Best year EVER!

Platypus.

Spent Christmas Eve at my aunts. I'm not even going to get in to that because I really am not sure how to react. I'm going to play extreme sick next year so I don't have to deal with it anymore.

Christmas was spent over Evan's house. We have a lot of fun over there. We played a game that Evan bought me called "Would You Rather?" which was freaking hilarious. One of the challenges was Michelle had to say who three people were by only touching their face. XD We also played Pictionary on the Wii and Evan, Tina and I won. We had a delicious dinner. Evan bought me a necklace that is super pretty but super delicate. I keep fearing I'm either going to lose it or break it. He also bought me a Disney Pin of the Ellie badge from UP which was a really sweet gift :)

Tomorrow I have to sacrifice lazing around the house all day to go up to the college to pick of a shit load of canned food with my dad to take to the Salvation Army because SIFE FUCKING SUCKS AND DIDN'T PICK UP OUR FOOD LIKE THEY SAID THEY WOULD. So now I'm stuck doing it all by myself without even knowing if someone will be there to unlock the damn classroom for me.

Went shopping with Sara today and found some good deals in Victoria's Secret and Target. I love sales.
