It's Like a Semi Trying to Go in a Parking Garage

Good lord time flies. 1. Three more finals left. My field final is tomorrow which I'm excited about. I'm going to miss my kindergartners though. They'll be big bad first graders next year. It's been so amazing to see how they have grown in the past couple of months. 2. For being canned, this chicken chili is fucking delicious. 3. I'm motivated to get May over with. I will be tutoring high schoolers as well as taking phonics and the stress level will most likely skyrocket. I think I'm ready to take it on. 4. We were discussing the transition into Common Core Standards which I'm actually very excited about. I'm glad I've been able to have the experience with both but the Content Standards did need a makeover. 5. The conference this weekend was a ton of fun even though it was exhausting. It's such a good motivator. 6. Bowling for Soup concert this Saturday!!!!! 7. Umm...I have nothing else to put here. Au revior!

Things I Hate (Packing)

I HATE PACKING. Emphasis on HATE. You try and pack all the shit you think you will need for a short period of time in a zippy box and hope and pray that you have everything you need. Many times I forget deodorant, or in a recent trip, my friggin hairbrush. Thank you random hotel shop in Louisville for stocking hairbrushes. What's worse? You have to UNPACK all of your shit. Where the hell do you put your dirty underwear that you have to bring home? You come home from your hopefully fabulous trip with all of your dirty clothes in your zippy box that you now must wash. I HATE PACKING.

By January

Starting today: *Drink more water. *Jogging will commence for 5 minutes per day until my lungs are good enough to do 10 and then will continue to up time in 5 minute intervals. This is quite sad. *Eat less sugar and less snacking. I've been doing way too much the past 10 months. Goal: 13.1 by January. And maybe fitting my ass in a size 7 again, but more focus on the miles! Let's do it, baby.

Random Thoughts

Most stories in my life begin with "that awkward moment when..." Oh god. WHY????? Seriously? Seriously. You've got to be kidding me. Hmm...interesting. I thought that was gone. What the fuck was that? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Oh, I see. Well that's awkward.

It's So Crisp

1. Hmm...they changed this bloggy thing. Interesting... 2. Evan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary last Saturday. Hard to believe it's been 4 years already. 3. I wore makeup a whopping 3 times last week. :O Seeing as I haven't wore makeup since Prom, this is odd. I may slowly be starting to appreciate it but I'm still do lazy to even do the extreme minimal that I do. And I just feel weird with it on. 4. 2 weeks until the conference in Columbus with Megan! I'm making sure she's buying her first drink while we're there. 5. 3 weeks until the Bowling for Soup concert! AHH!! 6. Also 3 weeks until classes end. :) At least for a week...then May will be the month from hell with summer classes. At least it only lasts a month. 7. I so love 2012. It's already been the best year ever.

Trapped by Sassy Canadian Geese

1. I'm still baffled at how amazing this weather has been.

2. Megan, Meghan, Tiffany and I went to Sandy Ridge park today. We have 4.5 hours between classes so what better way to spend that time than surrounded by nature? SO MANY GEESE. At one point we thought we would be late to class because we were trapped by geese. One was a biiig papa and looked a little menacing. We escaped unscathed.

3. I had my first legal to drink St. Patrick's Day this past weekend. Steph, Brenda, and I met up at Applebees very late that evening and had a blast with our green beer and various other drinks. Alcohol makes me sleep VERY well and even wake up feeling fabulous after just 6 hours of sleep.

4. Kappa Delta Pi induction was also this weekend. It was a good time. Weird for my parents to interact with my professors but fun.

5. Shit, I forgot.

6. My two friends, which I may as well call sisters because I spent the best moments of my childhood with them, found me on facebook. I'm super excited!! We haven't had contact in years and now we will. :)

Pissy Things 1

Thing that pisses me off of the day:
Men that are "pro-life." It is not your choice what a woman does with her unborn child. If you are married obviously a consensus should be met but ultimately it is her decision. So until babies pop out of your dick, you have no opinion.

30 Minus a Score Years Ago

I just found my music folder from the 7th grade. Including my report about Mozart. At the bottom of the page I printed says I printed it on February 23rd, 2003. A few of the other papers are from 2002! It's crazy what all has happened in 10 years.

March Madness

1. Spring break is getting closer and closer to coming to a close. While it has not felt like a break at all because there has been a large looming pile of homework, it's still been a good time. I've spent some time with the girls, taught 2 lessons this week (including pretty much taking over the classroom for awhile today), and made a very large dent in my research outline. While it wasn't Florida, or any tropical paradise, it's been an efficient spring break.

2. Damn you Pottermore potions for taking an eternity...

3. I'm still slowly working on my room. My nightstand is finished now. Well...the top and the drawer is. I still have to take care of the bottom shelf but it doesn't look too bad. I can get it before I take my shower tonight.

4. Apparently Evan's dad and I are going to go panning for gold sometime soon. This should be interesting. XD

5. I'm now in an honors society. :) Well, on March 18th I will be.

6. I finally broke down and bought a new earring rack. I LOVE EET. My earrings look all fancy pants now and I can find them in .08 seconds.
