Randoms

Today:

1. Seeing former Mayor Grace reading a book made for preschoolers to 4th graders is quite hilarious. He also sung a few lines and didn't know how to say or what lemurs were. Hilarious things the kids said to him: "Are you rich?" and "You got fired."

2. Apparently Evan's family has been pestering him to start paying for an engagement ring. Can we save that for about 4 more years? Luckily Evan isn't in a rush. :)
We're going for a late dinner tonight. Excited!

Oy

That awkward moment when another ex tries to add you on facebook...seriously people. No hard feelings at all but we haven't spoken in how many years?

Get Ready to Drop A Load, of Love

While cleaning, I found a folder that I carried around my first semester of college. In it, I found one of the only handwritten notes from Evan I've received. It's contents, made me start tearing up just now.

"Kelly Michelle Kreutzke
I love you. I've been falling for you since we've started talking and now look at us, almost 5 months past our amazing day of March 31st when I decided that you were worth everything and anything and more than anything else ever had to me. So my nervousness led me to do it anyways, your 'yes' was the happiest, well one of the most happy moments in my life, and I'm sure, hey, I know that there will be more happy moments. I still think of us in our old age in our dream house, we've been all the places we wanted to, in our swing, me holding you, kissing you like we never got older. Oh, Kelly, you're the most important thing in my entire life. You're my whole world.
<3 Evan"

Now, we had just had our 5 month anniversary when this was written. For then, this seems a little extreme. But now, when we'll be celebrating 4 years next month is an amazing thing to come across. Thinking of everything that we've experienced and changed in the past 3 and a half years from when this note was written is astonishing. I've learned what love is. It truely is something that cannot be described, but when it happens, you know. Maybe not right away but once it's figured out it's one of those 'holy fucking shit' moments.

"My Brother Eats Dog Food"

Oy! I will survive February.

1. My placement is going great. I teach my first lesson next Wednesday and I'm pretty excited about it. Today we celebrated 100 Days of School, which is something I definitely don't remember doing when I was in elementary school. But it was a great time. I'm learning how to create smartboard stuff which is pretty epic. Hopefully the kids think so too.

2. Classes are going well. Lots of work to be done but I've managed to keep on top of everything somehow and read a lot of books that I've been wanting to. Unfortunately the list is never ending. I think I finally found my all time favorite book, "The Tale of Despereaux". I'm not sure if it's because I read it after "The Bell Jar" so anything was a relief of the depression but I just love this book. I'm afraid to watch the movie though because I heard it's different and I don't want to ruin the magic of the pages.

3. Having my weekends free is FUCKING FANTASTIC. I'm surprised I hardly even notice I'm not going to work anymore. I'm a lot more careful with my money as well because I have a lot that will hopefully be happening this summer.

4. My room is slowly getting thoroughly cleaned. I realized that this is probably my last full year living at home so the more I get it clean now, the easier it will be when the moving out process happens. What a terrifying/glorious thought.

5. I cannot wait for it to be spring even though this winter has been freakishly awesome. The major lack of snow and the "let's stay in the 40's most of the time" idea is really working for me.

6. I was invited to join Kappa Delta Pi, the honors society for Education majors. I'm almost finished with the application process. Here's hoping I made it!

Shiiiit

Praxis scores come out Tuesday. I bet you anything I failed because the scores are released in February and February is never a good month for me.

Pulsating Man-Pecs of Love

Hey look, it's almost February already...really?? How is this even possible?? GEH!

1. Week 4 of classes is tomorrow and I start my field experience for the semester. They did realize that it would be very difficult for me to do literary assessments on preschoolers so I now have Kindergarten at McKinley. My mentor teacher and I have been chatting via email and she sounds pretty awesome. :) I can't wait to start on Wednesday!

2. My last day of work was Friday. It's bittersweet. Shelving books became meditative after you knew where everything was so I'll miss my thinking time, paycheck, and coworkers. It is very nice, however, to not be able to do something because you have to work so hello epic weekends of awesome.

3. I apply for my Southern Internship in March and have been talking to my counselor about it. She's given me a ton of information which makes me both nervous but mostly very excited. It's my first step toward independence and is majorly a big deal for me. Did I mention I was excited??

4. Megan and I are going down to Columbus for the Ohio Early Childhood conference. I love nerdy teacher conferences and am super pumped to do one that actually pertains to my major. This one actually has dances! I think it will be a lot like Key Club convention all over again. XD

5. Evan and I went on a date yesterday. We saw Beauty and the Beast 3D which I was surprised by how amazingly awesome it was in 3D. I wasn't expecting anything special but it was pretty fabulous. We ate at Bellacino's with his parents afterward. We even dressed up. I wore a dress and Evan wore a collared dress shirt with an argyle sweater over it. He looked amazing and his mom and I were very impressed. <3

6. Classes are going very well. There's only one that will be a struggle to get through because the class is one of those "death by powerpoint with 500 bullets on each slide and yes this will be on the test" classes. My wrist is not pleased. Luckily, one of my friends had the class last semester and had asked the professor if they could send her the powerpoints and they did. She sent them to me so BAM! no more 2 hours and 40 minutes of continuous writing for me.

7. Steph and I met some of the Indians players a few days ago at the 'Tribe on Tour' at Great Northern mall. It was an epic time of epicness. :)

Anticipation Is Running Through Me

HOWW is it halfway through January of 2012 already?? My god. *huff*

1. Disney World was amazing. I enjoyed even more this time than my first time. I think mostly because I was able to do more because the parks weren't as crowded. I completed my first 5K which is just the beginning of my run/jog/walk career. My goal is to do a marathon by the time I'm 30. I think it's possible. :) Anyways, the trip was a great way to start off the new year. I think we're gonna go every 2 years so the next trip will be in 2014 and I'm hoping for a land/sea vacation; 4 days in the park, 3 on a cruise.

2. Classes started on Monday and I definitely have my work cut out for me. I need 120 field experience hours this semester on top of several tests and huge projects. I'm so excited to see what I'll get out of this semester. I also have my first methods class! So excited.

3. Went shopping with my mom today. She got her hair done at the mall and then we went out to Crocker Park and Rocky River. It was a good time and I found a few things. We also started planning our next trip to Columbus which will include the zoo, shopping, facials & a massage. :)

4. Disney sparked the love in Evan and I. 2011 was kind of a slump for us because we were so busy, him with manager duties at work and me with work and school. He asked me on a date to see Beauty and the Beast 3D where we'll actually get dressed up and go to dinner and everything. We also will have a zoo date soon and tomorrow is a Pirates of the Caribbean date where we're starting our movie marathon and building his Black Pearl Lego set. Haha he also said if I passed my Praxis exam he's buying me a pound of chocolate covered strawberries. XD

5. I cannot wait to have all of my girls home again<3 We're doing epically awesome things because I miss them and I'm so glad to have them in my life. You know who you are, dahlinks!

TruckAIDS

1. Tomorrow is the last day of 2011. a) How the heck did that happen? b) Why did so many people dislike this year? I loved this year. Except for the beginning but I always hate the beginning of every year because I live in Northeast Ohio. The weather matches my mood. Things don't look up until about April.

2. Tonight is the last night sleeping in my bed for awhile. Hard to believe we leave tomorrow and then leave leave Sunday. Where has the time gone?

3. Praxis study guide was a bitch but it's my bitch. Megan and I worked our fucking asses off on that. We'll find out if it pays off in 2 weeks.

4. Turned in my letter of resignation at work today. My branch manager said it was the most well written letter she's seen and I know she is an excellent writer herself so I was very happy about that. It's bittersweet but I'm excited to move on and do something else.

5. I will be in Disney World in less than 48 hours. I will be on a plane in less than 48 hours and I will depart from a plane in less than 48 hours. I like departing. I also enjoy that the day we arrive is supposed to be 76 degrees. =] Hellooooooo swimming pool.

6. Fall semester ended with a 4.0. Here's hoping I can keep that up for the next year and a half.

Your Mouth Was Made To...

1. This semester is ALMOST finished. I just have my literacy final on Tuesday and I survived my first semester of private university-ness. I loved every minute of this past semester. Most of the people in my classes are amazing and so are my professors. Everyone is so helpful and there's so much to do. So far only my field experience grade is posted but all of the others are due the 17th. Here's aiming for that 2nd college 4.0.

2. Disney is in exactly THREE WEEKS. How the fuck did that happen? I'm sooooooooooooooooooo excited I can just leap around and hula hoop, but since I currently lack a hula hoop I'll lip sync to 'Suck My Kiss'.

3. I fail at Christmas shopping. The only thing I've done is printed pictures for my grandmas scrapbook I'm making her & bought Evan a few things which will not be mentioned on here because I don't know if he creeps my blog. So if you're trying to get dirt, Evan, ha! this isn't the place to find it.

4. My college girls will be coming home very very soon! <3 I can't wait for all of us to be together again even though we just saw each other on black friday.

5. I've been reading like a fiend this week which hasn't happened in awhile. I definitely recommend 'The Future of Us' by Jay Asher & Carolyn Mackler. It seems a little corny and adolescent but it was cute and did have great meaning. I read the whole thing in a day. Right now I'm almost finished with "Crossed" the second book following 'Matched' by Ally Condie. Decent series, I've read better dystopian but it isn't too bad. I'm not sure which of the 5 other books I have out from work I'll read next yet. I'm a bookaholic.

Hey Louis!

How the hell is it December already? Honestly.

1) Thanksgiving was one busy ass weekend.
Wednesday: Jourdan, Bryon and I went to the comic book store & had dinner at Applebee's which was a great time. I'm so bummed I won't have class with these two anymore after this semester since they're middle childhood majors. We have plans to still get together though.
Thursday: Dinner at the aunts which can be summed up as one too many rounds of the "Tootie-Tah" song.
Friday: Consumed of no sleep, just shopping. Was a blast as always with the girls. We also had a VERY eventful taco dinner which included a little old lady crashing with a ground powerline causing the power to go out and painting Brenda's coffee table.
Saturday: Up early to go shopping with Evan's family. Found a few things and had some fun.
Sunday: HOMEWORK.

2. This semester is almost finished though it's about a week longer than everyone elses semester for some reason which is very bumming. The end is near.

3. Where the hell is my remote??

4. They just said fox deportes when I'm really sure they should have said sports. Idiots.

5. So the Disney 5K is in almost a month and I haven't trained at all because I fail like that. This should be interesting. I'm predicting a beet red face & pit stains at the finish.

6. Once again, I have to pack. I HATE PACKING. You don't understand. I hate packing & unpacking. In fact, I still haven't unpacked from Kentucky. Shit, I also have to wrap a present. Daaaammmmitttttt.

7. I'm tired now. So I'm going to go finish my Charley's sub because our mall sucks so much dick that Sbarro's isn't there anymore :'( My whole childhood has now left that mall so it can burn down now.

8. 30 days til I hit the skies again. I have a list of my must-do things for Disney this time which is a pretty lengthy list but I think I can accomplish it. I'm still trying to understand how Ellen's Universe of Energy is 45 minutes though. I think that's the lengthiest attraction there is. Even the shows aren't that long!
