One of Those Days Where...

1) Instead of finishing reading for Ohio History I spend at least 2 hours playing Angry Birds.

2) Instead of even pleasure reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince I hang my glow in the dark solar system above my bed. My dream catcher somehow became a sun.

3) Instead of watching a movie I play more Angry Birds.

4) Instead of doing another load of laundry I read posts on Disboards.

I did however wash jeans.

I love days like this.

"B*tch I'll F*ck You Up" - My Mom

Helllooooooooooo June.

1. It's finally feeling like summer around here, well it did this past weekend, today not so much.

2. Summer has been very nice so far, even if it's been full of doing nothing but there's quite a few things planned in June and I'll be swamped in July so I should enjoy this time of nothingness while I have it. My online class starts Monday which I'm not looking forward too. Mostly because I'll probably forget about it all the time since I've never taken a class in the summer. Here's hoping it isn't too demanding!!

3. This past weekend my mom and I went to Columbus and stayed for two nights. We normally get to Columbus twice a year now but always only stay one night. We stayed two this time because we got a 20% off deal through a hotel if we stayed two nights. We took advantage of that and my zoo membership to go to the Columbus zoo. The last time my mom was there was waaaaay back in 2002 for our first trip to Columbus with two of my uncles and grandma and we stayed for 5 nights. But then again we also went to the state capitol building and a ton of other places. It was a ton of fun.

4. Planning for things has just jumped to extreme the last few days. Evan's parents just returned from Disney so now they're planning our trip for June. We're only staying 5 nights and 6 days now which I'm a little bummed about but it will motivate me to keep the go to bed really late wake up really early method that I wanted. Unfortunately the day we're coming back home is the same day as the 5K but since it's at 6:30am (!!!!) I'll have plenty of time, just be exhausted and hopefully sleep on the plane ride home XD
The reason why we're only staying 5 nights is because Evan's parents just joined the Disney Vacation Club which means we get to stay at the super fancy pants places. So instead of staying at the All Star Music like I thought, we're staying at the flippin Boardwalk Villas. Another unfortunate thing about only 6 days is we probably won't have time to go to Universal but who knows.
The other planning has been New York. We're renting a cottage right on Lake Ontario (!!!). That will be interesting because my grandma gets to be my roommate XD But there's a sun room that has a ping pong table that I'm beyond excited about.

5. Hopefully going to the beach tomorrow and hopefully it will be much warmer tomorrow than it is today.

Intergalactic

Oh my. Hello neglected blog.

1. Rain. It's pretty much self explanatory. We here in Northeast Ohio have had a shitload of rain the past two months. While I do love the rain, this is really ridiculous. We've maybe had 5 days without rain in the last 30 days. So sad. Luckily this past weekend we had gorgeous weather so I was able to get out and enjoy it.

2. I enjoyed it so much I have been gifted by the sun with a burning sensation on my arms, forehead, nose and the sides of my legs.

3. Elyria Pride Day or Serve Elyria was this past Saturday. Steph, Kelsey & I helped plant a prayer garden at the Church of the Open Door. There was lots of heavy lifting, sifting, spreading, more heavy lifting, water, goofing off, mud and airplanes. Tons of fun. After all of our work we hauled our muddy selves back to Ely Square downtown for a festival. The best part? It was FREE. Free hot dogs, free cotton candy, free sand art, free blow up slide, free concert, free games and in Ben's case, FREE CAKE. The weather couldn't have been better.

4. Yesterday I went to the Cleveland Zoo with Evan and his parents. I got to see our new elephant exhibit. It's so nice to have our 'phants back and to see Willy, our temporary bull elephant from Disney's Animal Kingdom again. The only problem with the zoo yesterday was everyone and their mothers grandmothers mailmans third cousin twice removed was there. It was crazy. We got there at 9:30 before the place even opens and some of the lots were full. We always go Sunday mornings at this time and we're the first or second people there! Insanity I say but fun none the less, even if Evan was on his man period *rolls eyes* but that's a different story.

5. Two more weeks of freedom until my online summer class starts. Speaking of which I need to pay for and also get the textbook.

6. Leaving for Columbus for Memorial Day weekend on Saturday morning. Coming back Monday evening. So excited. Going to the Columbus Zoo and doing some shopping with my mom. CAN'T WAIT.

Well Ain't That Some Shit

Really? You're suddenly obsessed with graduating now that I graduated. You have the nerve to say "Apparently I'm getting two degrees. Two is better than one!"

...thank you for just insulting me. They're right, you just have to one up everyone don't you?

>.<
people.

No. We're in a Mall in Ohio.

1. I now have a college degree. While now it is just an associates in two years it will be a bachelors.

2. Graduation went very well. I actually enjoyed it so much more than high school graduation. I wasn't graduating with the same people I've had to deal with since Kindergarten. A lot of people I knew which I was surprised about. The best part? Getting a surprise $500 scholarship for getting my associates and doing the partnership in the fall. While that amount won't cover much, it's a lot better than nothing.

3. Dinner after graduation was so much fun. More crew dinners at Buca di Beppo will be needed.

4. My room is clean! Which leaves me with not much else to fill my mornings before work. Random goals for the summer:
a) Finish reading the Harry Potter series & rewatch the movies that I haven't seen in forever.
b) Catch up on Gossip Girl (currently on disc three of season 2)
c) Major catch up on scrapbooking. I left off at winter/christmas 2009.
d) Let's keep this room clean.

Allah. Bookmobile. Guns. Cat. Hippo.

1. Thank something or other that it's finals week and my last final is tomorrow. I'm finished with general classes, no more math, no more english, no more random class you have to take just because. From here on out it's education classes only. Hallelujah.

2. I scheduled with Ashland for the fall this morning. I have plenty of time to be able to keep my job, another hallelujah. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to pay for this all which will be the hard part.

3. I've recently rekindled my love for Ed Westwick. I blame my gossip girl watching friends for getting me hooked again :P

4. Evan said two things yesterday that I'm still shocked about.
a) He wants to go to an Indians game.
b) He's been wanting hot dogs.
He hates sports and hot dogs and yet he wants to go to an Indians game and eat hot dogs. Not that I'm complaining. So we're going to the game on June 17th :)

5. Project clean room will take place starting today, well tonight pending on how long voting for our contract at work is going to take. It will be done on/by Tuesday so the weekly glee watching party can take place at my house for once.

6. It would be nice if Ohio realized it's May and it should be spitting out at least 60 or 70 degree weather instead of 40's. Go away old man winter. Off you go to find your dentures for the next 5 months.

GRR

Reason why I don't like Easter: my family has suddenly become freakishly religious...and republican. They want Sarah Palin in office and we can't call it "Easter" anymore because Easter is "pagan" so we have to call it "resurrection day". WTF? It was the pagans first, stop plagiarizing their shit. GRR. This is why I hate family get-togethers on holidays. It's all religion and politics with a nice Disney segue somewhere. It's always one of those times I wish I were my cousins age and I would have no idea what's going on. Sometimes I would rather be oblivious.

Oh Freedom is Mine

Oh hello blogger. See what happens is sometimes you are closed out of my tabs and if you aren't there, I forget about you. Terribly sorry ol chum.

1. Next week is the last week of classes. Unfortunately there is a lot to be done this weekend and during this last week including:
a) Math activities
b) Two papers (luckily they're like 2-3 pages)
c) A math test
d) My portfolio for student teaching, anyone who saved this for the last minute good luck to you on not making it look like crap. I've already spent hours on the damn thing.
e) Last week of student teaching in the preschool

2. After four years of not celebrating Easter, it has randomly been decided that we're celebrating it this year. Well, my family celebrates it. I'm just there for food and seeing how much older my cousins are getting. Kaitlyn's going to be six this year! Holy crap! So anyway this means I get to drag homework over there while all the men are in the living room watching sports and the women are in the kitchen doing whatever they do in the kitchen while I always sit on the couch.

3. Umm, yeah that's about it now. Trying to make it past finals so I have a month of not worrying about schoolwork again until my Ohio History class online starts. Luckily it's only 8 weeks and doesn't overlap my birthday. I still have never had to do anything for school on my birthday and I'm hoping to keep it that way for awhile.

Ayayarrdeeveeayarrkay

This weekend was good. Did absolutely nothing homework-wise which will bite me in the ass this week but whatevs. I feel more inclined to do homework when I was actually in school that day. Actually I did print pictures for my student teaching portfolio and other stuff for it so I did so something. So ha!
Currently reading the third Harry Potter, which I have read before. The only two left I haven't read are the 5th and the 6th which are pretty dang important ones but I'm getting there.
My period finally "started." It was only mmm about 10 days late and I have the feeling it's going to be extremely light which will be amazing. As if you could ever call a period amazing unless you think you may be preggers.
Its friggin April 10th already. Three weeks left of regular class then finals week. Which is funny because I have my student teaching final this Tuesday which is my last lesson plan to be taught to my preschool. Circle times done. Lesson plans typed & all taught but my final. Now it's just three more weeks in the classroom, three more weekly journals & 4 observations in the class on different subjects which I should have done awhile ago but since I don't have to worry about typing lesson plans anymore, that will just take up the time slot for that...which would be around now, or two hours ago.
I think I just realized how tiny my wrists are today. They're like...friggin tiny compared to my hands. Not like my hands are that big but compared to my wrists it's like gorilla hands.
26 days til graduation. Scheduling for Ashland classes May 4th. Here's hoping my schedule doesn't suck balls to where I have to work every single weekend and kiss any hope that I had for a social life goodbye.
I'm not sure why it took me so long to try a McDonald's strawberry and banana smoothie, but I finally did and they're very addicting. Freakishly, addicting.

You Sing Well, Buy A Button

Things are going well, I can't complain. Crunch time has now started since there are only three and a half weeks left of regular class and then finals. There's quite a bit to do but I'm confident (hopefully...) that I can get it all done with a minimal amount of stress.

Evan and I celebrated our three year anniversary last week. Still hard to believe it's been three years but they've been some pretty amazing years.

Last night I chaperoned a GATE field trip for the high schoolers with Mrs. C. I didn't realize I hadn't seen her in over two years. She lost her signature hair style and now dons a feathery bob which makes her look younger. Of course she had to tell everyone that I was the "nobody cares what old people look like" person. Oy. I will never live that down. And of course I didn't make it an hour before she said "Life is choices" which for once was not directed at myself. It was a good time. I was surprised by how different I am as a college student from what I was as a high schooler. I had no problem talking with the high schoolers but MY GOD do they have a lot of petty drama they like to vent about. We ate at Li-Wah restaurant in the Asia Plaza of Cleveland which I had ate at before (reluctantly) and enjoyed it so much more now since I've grown to like chinese food. The shops were even more amazing to look at along with the market. Baby octopus anyone? The town hall meeting was Ronan Tynan which was one of the three Irish tenors. Phenomenal voice with a phenomenal keynote message. Him, Liz Murray and Kyle Maynard have been my favorites.

I don't know what it is with children and Tuesdays but something about the two of them just don't get along...

I have mustard on my shirt. Damn.

Graduation in a month then I will be another schools alumni. Have to schedule my Ashland classes for fall this month. Hopefully the times for classes aren't too bad or else I may not be able to work while go to school which will not please me at all.
