I Discovered Buzz's Spanish Mode ;)

I really really REALLY need to invest in an air conditioner. Most of the summer days are tolerable inside the house but this hot sticky junk just doesn't cut it. We use window fans and ceiling fans to cool the place down when it cools down outside. Well since it hasn't been getting cool outside until about 1am I'm screwed and have to try and fall asleep in the 85 degree house. Not fun. This is finally an appliance that I really do need. By the time I probably get one though it will be fall and I won't need it. UGH. Maybe I'll just hang out at work after my shift tomorrow in the nice air conditioning there. I'm even sweating buckets sitting here typing!

I'm currently hustling through reading "Eclipse." Yeah, don't tell me I'm about 3 years behind because I already know that. Haha I probably won't even get to Breaking Dawn until a week after the movie comes out just like I'm doing with Eclipse.

I need to clean my room. Not when it's super hot though. I pick up one tissue and my shirt is soaked. Bleh. I need an air conditioner!!!!!!!!

So yeah, the rest of this week will consist of working Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (hooray for holiday pay!) hopefully seeing Eclipse with Sara Thursday if she doesn't have to work and going down to Columbus for some shopping on Saturday. I'm super pumped for this shopping. I LOVE shopping down there, they have EVERYTHING. :)

Doritos, fig newtons and pickles are an odd combination.

Oh hey, more fireworks. Awesome people, let me blow one in your ass. Stupid neighbors.

NYC in a month :) Soooooo excited!

The Dean's List issue has been taken care of. I received my letter in the mail last week and my name is now on the website listing. YAY! I feel so accomplished that I went to school full time, worked part time and had a social life at the same time. Life is good.

The 234th 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! One of my favorite holidays because people are very pleasant around this time. Probably because of lack of stress; no presents to buy or a huge turkey to cook perfectly. Pretty much fire up the grill and relax. To celebrate after I was finished working yesterday we had a cookout at his house with burgers, corn on the cob, pasta and potato salad. YUM! All of my favorites. Afterward we played Apples to Apples and went to see the fireworks at the Elyria Country Club. This afternoon we went to see Toy Story 3. A lot of it was pretty sad and of course with a lot of elaborate rescue/escape planning. How does Disney and Pixar come up with this? But it was really good and it was the perfect ending for the movie series. I only cried twice. They advertised for the new Disney movie coming out called "Tangled" it looks really good. A twist on the story of Rapunzel. Oh Disney I don't know how you do it!

Memos From the Mind

June is almost over...already! In a way I'm looking forward to going back to classes but in a huge dominant way I'm not. I love that my work schedule isn't as stressful during the summer because it's not fighting with school to get enough hours. October-December will be hell because I'll have to work practically everyday to get all of my hours in. So I'm milking this summer for all it's worth :P

I'm still fighting with the college about the Dean's List thing. I called 2 weeks ago they never said anything back so I emailed this lady last friday and she got back to me today saying that she'll check into everything and let me know tomorrow. UGH! Why didn't they just get it right the first time?

I want a mini road trip! Pittsburgh? Somewhere in Indiana? Kelley's Island? I'm not picky :) (damn you Kelsey for making me remember I'm trapped in Elyria all the time :P) So pumped for NYC!!! 38 days baby!

I hope July brings fun things! This summer has already been pretty epic, hell this year has. 2009 and 2010 just make my life and I'm expecting it to continue from there. <3

Nowhere but Up From Here

They don't put enough mini reese cups in fudge tracks ice cream. On a side note things are going extremely well. There is the ever growing list of things that I want to do and they are very very slowly getting done-ish. I want to do something extravagant but I have no idea what. Or at least something I wouldn't normally do. Evan's taking that into his hands and teaching me how to be a video game expert. This should be interesting. My self acclaimed "sensei" of video games will teach me the basics of games I've never played (which is pretty much all of them). This all started because I said I was thinking about getting a PS2 since I've never had a game console that you hook up to the TV. So he decided to show me some games to see if it's something I would really want to do or not. Sounds like a win :)

I also noticed that I really need to get my license. I can accomplish more things if I had it. The problem is lack of motivation, a car (big problem) and the fact that I'm always afraid I'm going to screw up on the road. I've instantly freaked a couple of times and couldn't remember which was the gas and which was the brake. I though that was a problem only old people had. I just really need to get it. It drives me nuts. (no pun intended) I want my freedom dammit grrrr.

I'm pretty pissed at LCCC for the moment. I called them a week ago to tell them that they left me off the dean's list. They took my name and student id and my phone number. They said they would call me, they haven't and I haven't gotten a letter in the mail for it. I'm giving them until next tuesday making it two weeks since I called to bother them about it until I get some damn answers.

Scenarios

Random thought came to mind. Eventually when I get married I don't think I could fathom the fact that my name would be something different. That's so weird. I think I may have to hyphenate but that's too long. Bleh. Life. XD

Figuring It All Out

It's dawned on me that I really really really love Evan. We're so alike but we're so different at the same time, just the perfect amount of each. The only problem we're coming across is that he doesn't know what he wants to go to school for yet so that is pushing his graduation back further than mine. Once I graduate I wanted to look in the Columbus area for a job and move down there but I don't want to leave Evan. I'm hoping near the end of college he'll propose. God, it feels like I'm thinking too far ahead and I defintely was not expecting this to happen so soon but this is it. I love him. There is nobody else I would want to be with and luckily (even though I hate to admit it) I actually can appreciate the relationship I had with Tim. It showed me what love wasn't so I could later distinguish it when it did happen. I'm very happy about that. Even though other things that make me mad or sad or glad may happen, I can always turn to him and he has never asked for anything in return.

I also think I've finally grown to appreciate college. It took me a little bit only because my initial plans were knocked off course because I was lazy but it must have worked out for the better. I do love LCCC even though they can make me mad at times, especially with the whole lack of cancelling classes thing. But I love randomly seeing people in my classes just walking around the mall or showing up at the library while I'm working, haha especially professors. I just don't feel like I'm making the most of my college years. I'm hoping to change that in the fall, even though I think I said the same thing last year. This year will be different! I'm so much closer to my goals, Megan told me that Mrs. Head wants to meet with us so we can get the early childhood ed. club going before fall semester. I think what I've been missing is the club scene. I always had it in high school and it felt good to be a part of something extra. I think it's just what I need for my third year :)

Cumbersome

Holy crap! It's June. Today 2010 is already half way over. Time sure does fly. This past week was fun. Meranda and I went to the beach and waded then a couple of days later we went to the beach with Kelsey and swam. Hopefully it won't be all rainy and junk Thursday because we plan on going again, and this time with beach toys XD

I go back to work today after having Memorial Day weekend off. I get 4 hours of holiday pay for Memorial day so I only have to work 16 hours this week :) In the mean time I'll be finishing my Disney scrapbook because I'm so close. I only have about 7 pages left to do and it's just Sea World, random pictures and the very last page. I'll be pretty excited to have that thing done so I can focus on all of the other pages I need to do. I still haven't done Christmas or anything that has happened this year yet. I'll also be cleaning my room. That comes after I finish the scrapbook because I have scrapbooking stuff thrown everywhere that I don't want to move while I'm working on it.

We're planning a family road trip next summer. That should be very interesting. We would be going to Upstate New York to see family that I haven't seen since I turned 1. We would also be going on a boat tour that my parents went on when we were up there of the 1000 Islands in the St. Lawrence Seaway. Lake Ontario is the last great lake I have yet to see :) Yay for random seeing lake goals!

Hmm...that's about it for now. <3

Pondering

Oh summer, how I love you. I can't believe that tomorrow it will be two years since high school graduation. HOLY CRAP. I wasn't expecting the years to go by so soon.

Durktionarie

Ah. It's summer bitches!!!! Finishing this semester felt amazing and I feel this summer is well deserved and will be lots of fun :) I ended this semester with a 3.6666 repeating which kicked my cumulative gpa to a 3.245 which is so much better than my initial 2.75. So cheers to that.

Last Wednesday I took my last final and the crew got together for a bonfire that night to kick off the summer. I think s'mores and good friends are always a good way to kick things off. On Thursday Kali and I went up to Eastern Heights to visit some old teachers and by old it's now very old. We haven't had these teachers for 6 years now! That's so hard to believe. We saw Mr. Walton who hasn't changed at all except that he's moving on from Eastern Heights and going up to the college level. Friday I went with Evan and his parents to the Pittsburgh Zoo. It was super packed, I swear every elementary school age child was there with their school. It was an okay zoo, definitely not the best and wouldn't have been worth the $13 it would have been to get in if I didn't have a zoo membership. Afterward we went downtown to Primanti Brothers in the strip district. They're pretty popular on the Travel Channel because they put the fries and cole slaw on the sandwich instead of next to it. I got their cheese steak which was a pretty good sandwich. After we ate we headed back to Ohio and stopped in Niles to check out the William McKinley National Memorial. They had a ton of stuff like several of his campaign buttons and random things he had.

Saturday we headed to Michigan to the Detroit Zoo which was a huge and pretty awesome zoo, even if they didn't have any pins :/ After the zoo we went to our hotel which was a Fairfield Inn in Troy, Michigan. Troy was a really nice town. We ate dinner at Sonic, I've now been to 5 different sonics, I think I've been to more Sonics than McDonalds. We went over to a mall right around the corner called Oakland mall. It was your typical, a lot like Great Northern. Then we went to Great Lakes Crossing mall which was a little bit down I-75. AMAZING. They have outlet stores of a lot of name brands like Victoria's Secret, Neiman Marcus, Coach (omg this killed me) even a Saks Fifth Avenue. I loved this mall. I told my mom about it and we found another amazing mall close to it and we're probably going to go up there next year since I've been to Michigan four times now and my mom has never been. Afterward we went to Krispy Kreme and were given a fresh just off the fryer donut. Holy shit. Hot donuts are the shit! They just melt in your mouth. So we grabbed some donuts for breakfast in the morning and relaxed the rest of the evening in the hotel.

Sunday morning we headed back to Ohio and stopped at the Toldeo Zoo. They have a baby polar bear and he was so cute! After the zoo we ate at a Big Boy, which every time I eat at one of these it makes me think of Mrs. Clancy and her freaking Big Boy figure thing she bought at Key Club convention one year. After we ate I came home then Meranda and I hit the beach! It was perfect weather for it too, it made me wish I wore my swimsuit so I could swim.

I was off work today but go back tomorrow and work Tuesday-Friday. Luckily I get memorial day weekend off :)
