Chickeeeeeeeeeen

February may be the shortest month, but it feels like it takes forever to end. >.<

I also need to start thinking about what classes to take in the fall and *cringe* the Ashland application. Thinking about the future sucks eggs.

I See You

It's a good feeling when what you thought was going to be a horrible day, turns out to be a really good day, but then again that normally happens to me. I've been amused that the past 2 days I have guessed what our password for our math quizzes are correctly. I was also amused that I was telling Sara that I made the duffel bag that I was carrying my change of clothes for zumba in my junior year. Ironically walking out of said math class I ran into Ms. Andrews, my Independent Living teacher in high school, the class that I sewn that bag. Good times! I ran into numerous people today. Ms. Andrews, Bryanna, Brittany, Daniel who's in my Child Guidance class, Brenda on her way to softball practice. I may have been on campus from 8am-5:30 but it's a pretty kick ass school when you're there long term, especially since there are a lot less people once 2 hits. I really REALLY cannot wait for the college center to be done so I don't have to take the long walk outside to get to the library in the freezingness, summer obviously isn't so bad. Speaking of summer I actually heard it rain, yes RAIN for about 5 minutes last night. I was excited. Also been excited that the highs have been above freezing. YESSS lets inch it up to the 40's!

So I started a list of things that I don't want to do this semester but have to. There are about 20 things on that list that include typing long observations, doing clinicals, big huge tests, finals, etc. It will feel amazing to cross them off because then I know I'm closer to summer! I did my fourth observation today, only one more! I teach my clinical for Child Guidance next Thursday and I have a pretty good idea of what I'm doing with it. It will feel nice to get those off of my mind. Yay for getting shit done! I noticed I'm not procrastinating at all this semester, I'm kind of scared.

Toss That Salad

This weekend was pretty good. Thursday night got together with the girls again at McDonald's to visit Brittany, even though she didn't come out from the kitchen but she poured my soup :) Friday was interesting. I had work from 11:30-4 but I got to spend a couple of hours on the bookmobile. Basically I just sat there until all of the people got off, bring up books that they turned in so they could be checked in then put them away. Of course our destination was an exciting place, the prison by the sherrifs office. Awkward. But they're non-violent criminals so they're just druggies, still strange but it was interesting. Friday night Steph, Britt and I went to Lorain Palace Theater to see Avatar. They were showing it for 3 bucks and we had all seen it before so we decided to see it together. Saturday morning bright and early Steph and I did the "Reach 2010" program at Open Door. We went up to the church and had breakfast that had SEVERAL choices. I semi-learned how to eat a grapefruit and enjoyed a doughnut that was much easier to eat and less squirty. Then we did a little "spiritual mosh-pit" and we were sent off to do our community service project. Your choices were something with the Salvation Army, going door to door for something or going to the Haven House. Steph and I decided to go to the Haven House in Lorain. They piled us onto a blue church bus and we were on our way...for about 5 miles. Then the buses battery died! So we hitched a ride with some of the adults who decided to drive back to the church to get Steph's car so we could get to our project. Good times! The Haven House was fun. We organized a room that held sheets and blankets and stuff for the people living there. We did it with a mom and her son Travis who were both fun to be around, except when Travis complained how bored he was and he would play with the toy cars right at your feet XD We also helped clean some of the toys and then we had a lunch of pizza and salad. Sunday my mom, grandma and I went to Eat N Park for lunch then I went to Evan's for Valentines Day. He bought me a pound of Suzin L. chocolate covered strawberries that were very delicious and I bought him his favorite Ghiradelli chocolate bar and a little stuffed moose that can hold hands with my little stuffed penguin. We watched Airplane! and Oliver and Company. It was a good Val. Day.

I'm annoyingly very tired today and I can't call off work because I'm the only one closing which is poop. If I was puking I would say give me off or I'll puke on everyone. Luckily I don't start until 4:00 so I get to nap. Tomorrow will be one of the worst days in history. I have school from 8am-2:50pm and then I have an observation on campus from 3-5:30. So I have to take 3 changes of clothes because I have to dress up for my observation, I'm going to get sweaty and gross in zumba and to top it all off I started my period today and my second day is always the worst. So I also get to deal with the worst day of my period tomorrow that whole time. Fml.

I Don't Care if Monday's Blue

Yay for it being Thursday night and I survived another week :) Only a month until spring break which I'm super excited about that I get to just take a break for once. I have 3 of my observations done, I have to change the date of the 4th one because I just found out I'm working the day I have it. Bleh. So who knows when I'll get the other two in.

I'm really starting to like all of my classes, minus health, safety and nutrition. I love the professor but it's really annoying how a few of the students in the class work in the center on campus with her so she has all of these little inside jokes with them and will say them every two seconds during lecture and then start a conversation with them while shes supposed to be teaching us the material. It's really annoying. Luckily I only have that class once a week. Zumba has become amazingness, all of the people in that class are awesome and so is my professor. I wish they had like a Zumba 2 class I could take for the fall but I'll probably take kickboxing or spinning or something, ooh or maybe yoga. Basic algebra is going good, there is a crapload of work for this class all of the time but it makes sense, its a 4 credit class. Child Guidance and Classroom Management is also going really well, most of the class is great minus a few snooty people who I hardly ever get in my classes but whatever.

I'm so pumped for summer. Hopefully this trip to Virginia works out great along with Crewfest and the trip to NYC with Meranda. So pumped! I can't wait to really do something exciting this year. I mean not like getting through this semester isn't exciting but I really want to go somewhere. I haven't even been just outside of Elyria/North Ridgeville in a month and it sucks big ones.

I'm happy I have this weekend off. I just work tomorrow 11:30-4 then I'm done until Monday. Luckily I don't have anything I need to focus on for school either so I really get to relax. <3

Dear LCCC,
I hate you. You close for the University Partnership people and those damn early college kids who go to the same fucking campus we do but not for the regular students?!?! Suck a tree and die, I hope you catch on fire.

I am Irked and That Will Not Do

Oh jeeze it's already the 6th? Times are flyin'. Hell week ended up not being so hellish. In fact it was a lot of fun. I have 2 observations done and have my third on Tuesday. Both observations went really well, the kids were awesome I can only hope to have amazing kids in my classroom but I know I'll just have to shape them up :)

I don't get a weekend this weekend, well hardly one anyways. I worked today and tomorrow. Today wasn't that bad because of all the snow we got pounded with I got to go to work 2 hours later than usual and still get paid for it and the library wasn't that busy. Which unfortunately means we'll be swamped tomorrow. Goodie.

So highlights of this week includes showing Jess around the college and then running into Brenda which turned into rushing to the library on campus to see Mr. Raber and then talking on Italian bean chairs; Sitting in McDonald's for two hours to see Brittany with Steph, Brenda and Mers then spontaneously going to Walmart to buy the shoes Steph had in mind but ended up buying a different pair; Accidentally walking into the boys gym class at Open Door; Seeing how the new high school is coming along, it looks like a freaking line of townhouses; Complaining with Sara about how annoying math is; Brittany the hallway creeper; Walking into the UC study area with very fragrant pizza while everyone is sitting there trying to comprehend math; Having interesting conversations with people in my classes; Having a losing streak in a game of 'Noahs Ark Memory Game" against a 5 year old; Spending Friday with Evan and watching Bolt; Making fun of the idiots who came out in this shit to go to the library today with coworkers; Watching Zombieland (not into the zombies but it was hilarious if you get rid of the stupid parts) and watching Runaway Bride (loooooooooooved it).

Damn good busy as hell week :)

You Ready to Go?

Today started my week from hell. There is so much to get done this week it's crazy and it doesn't help that the only day I have off of work is Friday. But at least I'll get my first paycheck :)

Today I had class. I'm getting used to math again but I'm still worried about the test coming up next Wednesday. I'm going to have to get more practice in and stop rushing because that causes me to make stupid mistakes. Zumba is going amazingly. I find myself looking forward to that class because then I can just let loose and not have to worry for about 50 minutes of the day. It's great for mind clearing. After class I had an hour before I had to go to work, so I rush home, eat and then go to work. Work will be even worse than I thought this week because the full time page has jury duty and won't be there, so half the work that normally gets done out of the week won't get done and things will back up and be a mess. Luckily I was with Chelly today for some of the time but tomorrow I'm there only 3 hours by myself, it will be hell. Especially after going to class and doing an observation at Open Door for 2.5 hours. But at least I'll have 1/5 done. I'm also doing one on Friday at the Children's Learning Center and another one next Tuesday at Spring Valley. Then I'll have 3 done for one of my classes. That will be a load of my mind. Minus the fact that I have to teach a clinical on the 25th and type out the lesson plan over something I have no idea what I'm doing yet. It never ends!

Here, Have A Lemon

If life could be perfectly amazing this is how it would work out. Evan and I get our degrees at the same time (I'm hoping for Spring 2013), I get accepted to do the internship at Disney World, Evan and I book it to Florida. Him and his friend Matt get an apartment together, Evan finds a job. I work at Disney for a year then look for a job in Florida. Yeah, this probably won't happen but it would be amazing if it did. Yay for dreaming!!

Not in a good mood. I don't like bad moods. But they happen. Especially the ones that make you feel stupid and worthless.

Newer Than Chocolate Cheerios

It's gotten cold again. I really enjoyed the warm and wished it would have lasted longer, but it's January, what do you expect?

This past week has been crazy busy, the rest of the semester will be too. I won't have a break until about April when I at least have one class overwith. I have to do 5 observations and 1 clincial within the next month. I do not have any time at all to do 5 two and a half hour observations so I'm freaking. How the hell do they expect everyone to have all the time in the world to do this? Ugh.

So I really like my Zumba class, even though it is extremely exhausting you feel great after you cool down and all the sweat goes away. We pretty much do all of these dance moves to hip/hop and spanish music. This class makes me feel ganster. XD Although it's not my style it's still a pretty awesome experience.

Anywhoo, I'm just trying to get by. It feels like I never sleep or do much of anything except school and work. Bleh. At least I had today off and didn't have to rush to the library right after class. I have class tomorrow at 8:30 to 11 then go to work from 12:30 to 7. Tomorrow will be a long day. I can't wait to get Friday out of the way, work 9:00-4 then I'm off Saturday and Sunday. YAY a break. Only to be followed by working next Saturday and Sunday. Not yay. Next week will be nasty. I'm hoping to get 2 clinicals out of the way since I was able to find a few time slots I can open up.
