Tell The World The Glories of Our Journey

I thought the worries of losing my job were over until today. Our governor is proposing a budget cut to state library funding by 50%. The worst part, we only have until July 1st to try and do something about it. So basically our levy passing last month will mean nothing now. If our funding is cut by 50% it's drastic. I'll definitely lose my job and TAB will be cut with it's programs. Just when I thought everything was going to be ok and I had nothing to worry about, this happens. At least I saved over half of my earnings, so I will still be able to go to Disney World with no problem even if I lose my job. Hopefully something will make this not happen so I can continue working at the library, I was hoping to be there at least 5 years.

Speaking of Disney, its been moved up two days. I'll now be leaving early in the morning on December 10th instead of the original December 12th. We were able to get round-trip tickets to Orlando for only $203. That's damn good. It will be my first time on a plane! Hopefully the first of many seeing as I plan to travel a lot. I've recently become interested in going to Aruba and the Bahamas. I'm feeling something exotic. With crystal clear water, white sandy beaches and hopefully a tan I'll be able to earn.

I get my wisdom teeth out on Thursday. I'm still nervous but I'm not as nervous as I was. I keep telling myself I'll survive and it will be over before I know it because it probably will. I haven't been thinking about it so it keeps the worries away. Damn oral surgery.

Follow The Grain In Your Own Wood

6. Finish the Death note series (damn you Evan for getting me addicted).

Whoo hoo! Another goal checked off the list. Why didn't I start these before? I'm very happy I've been able to get a lot of reading done this summer already.

Saturday night was a bonfire night which was much fun. We added a little twist by playing Apples to Apples and Mafia, two games I had never played before. Good fun :)

Yesterday I went with Evan and his parents to two of his cousins grad parties. It was pretty much like a family reunion. The first one was his dad's side in Grafton on a farm. I had never really been on a farm so it was a different experience. We ate in the front yard with chickens running around us (at least they're free range) and I went in the barn where the cows are and got up close and personal with a cow. There was also a cat and her kittens and I got to hold the cutest gray kitten ever. It made me realize how much I miss having a cat in the house. The second party was at Indian Hollow Reservation for Evan's moms side, which I don't know as well as his dads. We weren't there long and Evan and I sat in the car and talked most of the time because we were sick of being in the sun (Evan burns in an instant). Afterwards we went back to his house and sat on the swing. I made the most amazing ice cream sundae ever and we watched Mythbusters. Good day :)

I have my consultation to get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow. I'm sort of freaking out. I've never had anything removed, added or changed in my body at all and now I have to be put to sleep so I can lose teeth that aren't bothering me at all. I am paranoid and really want it overwith. Stupid teeth.

One Down, Nine To Go

Summer goal accomplished:
10. Go skinny dipping in Brittany's pool. :P I need to end the skinny dipping virginity of mine.

Needless to say we had a wild night. KKAB unite! Muahaha. Anyways, after our skinny dipping fiasco in Brittany's suuuper freezing pool we went to Denny's at midnight. I didn't know they had a special late night menu which I found pretty exciting. We were there 'til about 1:30 after some drunk/high annoying guys came in and tried to start crap with us. Idiots. So we went back to Brittany's and watched Liar Liar. After the movie Brittany kept rewinding to the "it's a goose" segment of the bloopers. This would be followed by hysterical laughs. Sleep came about 4:30 am. Waking up came about 11am. Followed by more hysterical laughing, getting bitched at by Brittany's mom for keeping her up the past hour and then leaving so the awkward turtles can go die under the deck with the possum.

Well, it's back to work in about 3 1/2 hours. Damn, my sleeping schedules going to be messed up.

Be A Fountain, Not A Drain.

I find it odd how last summer I was scrounging around for things to do and this summer it feels like I never get a break. Not that I'm complaining or anything but I know it will make the summer go by faster and then back to hectic classes again. I'm not exactly looking forward to going back. I want to get more involved on campus but I don't have time to. There are always meetings when I'm either in class or at some random time when I wouldn't be on campus. This explains why my college experience has been dull. All work and no involvement. I'm hoping to change that this coming year. I'm also hoping to get some better grades. Although I am proud of myself for what I did get this year, minus those 2 C's but all B's and A's practically. Even though my GPA wouldn't let you believe it. Fucking C's. I hate them, they should be slaughtered.

Goal 1: No C's. (and obviously no D's or F's either, but that's a no brainer)

I also have a list of goals for this summer that I would like to be accomplished.
1. Go to Put-n-Bay with the crew and have a blast.
2. Attend an Indian's game.
3. Go to Amish Country (since I've never been)
4. Get back to the zoo at least once if not twice.
5. Go to the beach and actually get to swim.
6. Finish the Death note series (damn you Evan for getting me addicted).
7. READ. Books are good.
8. Take more pictures.
9. Clean my room.
10. Go skinny dipping in Brittany's pool. :P I need to end the skinny dipping virginity of mine.

Well, here's hoping this list is simple enough to complete. Hello summer 09.

SQUIRREL!!

I realized I haven't done one of these in a little while. Jeheeze. Been pretty busy lately. Today I finally get a day to relax some before going to see "The Proposal" with some of the gang. Well, a lot of the gang. Hopefully it will be good, even though the tickets were free :)

When I was flipping through the channels sometime last week I came across Wishbone. This was like one of the highlight shows of my childhood and I was so excited to see that its one at 1 everyday. Hehe I watched it today. It's so strange how I can remember all of it, but not remember it at the same time.

Blahbeblahblah. I'm pissed I can't find my DS charger. I want to play some Guitar Hero dammit but my battery is dead! *huff* I went to see Up with Evan after work on Sunday. OMG best movie ever!!!!!!! Seriously, go see it....NOW! Well what the hell are you waiting for!?! Stop reading this and go see it!

Anywhoo. I should clean some today. Although reading a book sounds more promising. Muahaha.

been there, rocked that.

Went to the David Cook/Ryan Star concert last night with my parents. It's a shame my parents don't know how to party at concerts, it would have been a great one to party at. It was a much better show than I thought it would be. I wasn't that big of a fan of the guy but he's pretty cool. I was amused his shirt said "War is Over!" and my shirt had a big peace sign on it. We had front row, well front row before the double A and b. Great seats though.

Ryan was signing CD's and stuff so I got a picture and my CD signed. After the show my mom made me and my dad hunt down David so we could get his autograph. We stood outside the private session for about a half an hour followed by standing by his tour bus for another hour. Anyways good time. I ran into Brittany so that made it awesome. :)

Blehh, back to work today. I haven't had to work since last Thursday so this will be ever so exciting. At least I go back and get paid this week!

Kentucky May 2009

Evan, his parents and I went on a weekend vacation to Kentucky this weekend. It was very nice to get away and see some of the somewhat south. Well, we were far enough south to hear southern accents. Everyone was extremely nice down there, I didn't encounter one rude person at all. But there was a girl talking to me while I was gem sifting and man could she talk your ear off. Overall a very good relaxing and cool time.

Friday we left around 9am, Evan brought me pretty much the most amazing bacon and cheese bagel I've ever had and we were on our way down. Along the way we played Mad Libs. Evan was playing pokemon most of the time and I read and attempted to play a pokemon game until I realized it had second generation characters and I was done with that. I only do the originals. I got to go through Cincinnati and see the Ohio River which was pretty exciting. After we got into Kentucky we stopped at a Big Boy which made me think of Key Club Convention sophomore year and Mrs. Clancy with her freaking Big Boy figurine. I had never been there and from my opinion of the place, they have amazing broccoli cheese soup, but need mayo on their turkey club sandwiches. We then went all the way over to Elizabethtown which was where our hotel was. It is also the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln. Our hotel was on this amazing road that had every restaurant and fast food you could ever want. But their mall was super crappy. It was even worse than Midway. So we checked in and went to the mall to check it out, was there 1o minutes and they didn't even have a bookstore!!! Grr. Then we went to Freeman Lake which is more of a reservoir than a lake. There we saw a cabin that was a memorial for President Lincolns step mother, the Lincoln Heritage House and a time capsule that was burried on the bicentennial of the countrys birth. It wont be opened until 2076. Thats crazy!!! After that we ate at a Sonic a little down the road. I had only been to Sonic once and I love their burgers. This time I got a slushie and was very very happy the rest of the day with its watermelon-y-ness. Back to the hotel after that and Evan, his mom and I went swimming for a bit. Back up to the room and Evan and I talked and watch some TV and then went to bed early.

Saturday was tons of fun. We got up and early, ate breakfast at the hotel and went down to Kentucky Down Under. It's like a little zoo designated to animals of the outback and the aboriginies. Awesome place, but too expensive. First we went on the Kentucky Caverns tour. There was a lot of ducking and squeezing and tight spaces on this one but you felt really accomplished when you made it to the end. When we were about 30 feet away from the door out all the lights had gone off unexpectently. It caused a lot of kids to scream and freak out. We didn't really see much cavelife except for a eyeless crayfish and some cave crickets. When we escaped we went into the outback walk. There I got to pet an emu and a red and gray kangaroo. I freaking love kangaroos!! Then I bought a bag of dirt and sifted for gems. I found a ton in my small bag. Many being rubies but I also found a few peridots, my birthstone.

Following Kentucky Down Under was our Frozen Niagara cave tour in Mammoth Cave National Park. It was a really cool tour. All of the formations looked amazing and we got to see where the cave is making its own natural opening through a sink hole. I also got to see a baby bat and plenty of cave crickets and spiders. I was surprised that the opening of the cave was a revolving door. After our tour we went down the road and went into Big Mike’s Rock Shop. It had tons of stuff for the caves and a 10,000 amethyst rock formation. *Fun fact: Amethyst comes from the Greek word amethusos, which means sober.* We went further down the road and went to Dinosaur World which has huge formations of dinosaurs in their natural habitats. We just went into the gift shop because it was ridiculous to pay $12 to see some big plastic lizards. We then hopped around to different gift shops to various other caves to look around. Evan and I were supposed to go on another tour in Mammoth Cave but we decided not to after we learned the tour was a whopping 2 hours long. That’s waaaay too long. So instead we went down to Bowling Green, KY and ate at Outback Steakhouse. I’m addicted to Outback. Too bad I wasn’t hungry enough to have a steak so Evan and I shared some Aussie fries. We then had a drive back to the hotel. Evan and I then watched Man vs. Food until some little kids got out of the pool so we could go swimming. After we swam we went back up to the room, showered and watched Home Improvement.

Yeah, you really didn’t have to read this. This is more so I have all of my thoughts together so it will be easier when doing journaling for my scrapbook pages. Like an online journal I suppose.

Tomorrow is the David Cook concert. I’m somewhat excited but not as excited as my mom who will be drooling the whole time.

today is the day, you, my dearest friend, become a pop tart.

my god these last few days have been shitty. i just had to get sick on tuesday thus ruining my supposed to be good week and probably weekend. i always have things come up at the worst times. yesterday was the worst. i took 4 cold/flu pills throughout the day and they didn't so squat. and of course i just had to get a side effect of insomnia making me only get 5 hours of sleep and I had a final at 8 this morning. This was the final i wasn't worried about but shit when I got in there I couldn't concentrate, i kept second guessing myself, i had to wipe my nose every two seconds, my pen kept going out and i almost fell asleep several times. Worse final ever. I probably did horribly and will drop my happy A to a not so happy lower letter grade. When i got home i took some sinus pills to see if that helped. It did for two hours. I was able to get a couple more hours sleep and I'm not as drippy and congested now. However I still have to pack and work tonight. Both of which will suck. I'm going to take more of those pills when I get home and dose into sleepland and hope that helps me feel so much better for tomorrow.

Leaving tomorrow morning!!! Finally.

open your eyes.

This weekend ended up not being as bad as I thought it would be, minus sadness on Friday. We had little baby birds nesting by our porch and when I went out there Friday morning the nest had tipped over, the babies fell out and died. :'( it still really upsets me. I hear the mama bird every night at her usual time. Poor bird. While I was at work yesterday my dad buried them somewhere, most likely under my window seeing as it has become our little graveyard.

Thursday night Kali, Stephanie and I went to the midnight premier of Angels and Demons. VERY VERY good movie. Anyone who says it sucks, screw you. You have no excitement in your life.

Friday Evan and I ate lunch at Olive Garden then went over the the mall and Target so he can find some new clothes for Kentucky. He found some shoes at Target which was a big shocker. They aren't Converse. He got some black and red Mossimo skater shoes which look very nice on him. :) After that we went back to his house and sat on the swing in his backyard, rescued a cat caught in his tree and went to Chic-fil-a. It was my first time there and I didn't even get chicken. Just a fruit cup and lemonade. I wasn't feeling chicken-y I suppose.

I had work all day Saturday. Until the last half hour when Jessie and Kali randomly showed up and whisked me away to Subway for dinner when I got off. It was a good surprise, I don't get surprises that often. We then went to the park where Kali had an epic fall on the swing. That picture is priceless. I'm going to have to make a couple scrapbook pages on just random shit with friends. That picture will definitely be there. I'm hoping we get to do a ton of amazing stuff this summer. I would love to go to Put-N-Bay, an Indians game, random museum going in Cleveland, the zoo, pool parties, the beach, omg just everything.

Yesterday was my Sunday to work this month. It actually went by pretty fast which made me happy. Luckily people didn't make messes and I was able to find stuff to do. When I got home I did that Sociology final online that I had been freaking out about since Wednesday when it opened. I got a B!! Now only one more final to go and it's not until Thursday. That one I'm very relaxed about, I know I know everything on it, its just a matter of getting it done.

4 days!!! Holy crapp!!!

...

life has pretty much hit a major low. this better not last long.
