Sex Is Like Snow - You Never Now How Many Inches You're Gonna Get or How Long it Will Last

Today has been more eventful than I expected it to be. I guess some day I will be laughing about this but for now it leaves me tired and not so happy.

It started about 1:30. My mom left work work early thanks to our whopping 11 inches of snow. The weathermen lie yet again, what a shocker. Anyways, she calls me screaming that shes stuck at then end of our street trying to get on East Broad. She tells me to go get someone who I don't know named Mike who apparently lives across the street from us who has a snow blower to come get help her get out. Mind you she tells me to hurry. So not thinking that I would need to be out there long, I throw on a pair of pants, throw on a hoodie, put on shoes with no socks and walk outside to go find Mike. I close the door behind me and realized its locked. So now I'm stuck in the 0 degree windchill outside with no key and no freaking socks on my feet.

I find Mike and we walk down the road to where my moms car is. There was already another guy in a truck behind her that was trying to go down the road trying to help her out. Anyways we got her out. So now I was stuck in the outdoors keyless and really regretting those times when you don't think. I called my dad who was at work about four blocks away and told him I would be there to get the house key. Mike was nice and gave me a ride to where he worked and offered to take me home but he had already done enough and I said I would just walk (stupidity - I has it).

*news break* Now it's sunny outside. Fucking Ohio weather.

Moving on I got my dads key but before sat crying in the Guard's office because I hated being stuck in these situations. The gotta be sixty something Guard walks in while I'm still crying and probably feels uncomfortable with a young woman crying in his office. I felt bad, but I was very upset. I got the key and hoofed it home gathering plenty of snow in my shoes which made my feet freezing because of my idiocracy in not putting on socks before leaving.

Seeing as all of these events took place by the time I got home I was exhausted because I had to walk in the street the whole time and avoid huge trucks for 15 minutes in 11 inches of snow, I called off of work. Why would the library be open in this anyways? It doesn't make any sense when everything else has been closed today. Since I don't have any personal days yet and I can't use my sick time for this, it's marked as an unexcused absence. I really don't like this but like my boss told me, there's nothing else I can do. If I can't get off my street then I can't and I shouldn't have to kill myself just to work for 4 hours.

Moral: Some people do stupid things and Ohio weather sucks.
