Hey look, it's almost February already...really?? How is this even possible?? GEH!
1. Week 4 of classes is tomorrow and I start my field experience for the semester. They did realize that it would be very difficult for me to do literary assessments on preschoolers so I now have Kindergarten at McKinley. My mentor teacher and I have been chatting via email and she sounds pretty awesome. :) I can't wait to start on Wednesday!
2. My last day of work was Friday. It's bittersweet. Shelving books became meditative after you knew where everything was so I'll miss my thinking time, paycheck, and coworkers. It is very nice, however, to not be able to do something because you have to work so hello epic weekends of awesome.
3. I apply for my Southern Internship in March and have been talking to my counselor about it. She's given me a ton of information which makes me both nervous but mostly very excited. It's my first step toward independence and is majorly a big deal for me. Did I mention I was excited??
4. Megan and I are going down to Columbus for the Ohio Early Childhood conference. I love nerdy teacher conferences and am super pumped to do one that actually pertains to my major. This one actually has dances! I think it will be a lot like Key Club convention all over again. XD
5. Evan and I went on a date yesterday. We saw Beauty and the Beast 3D which I was surprised by how amazingly awesome it was in 3D. I wasn't expecting anything special but it was pretty fabulous. We ate at Bellacino's with his parents afterward. We even dressed up. I wore a dress and Evan wore a collared dress shirt with an argyle sweater over it. He looked amazing and his mom and I were very impressed. <3
6. Classes are going very well. There's only one that will be a struggle to get through because the class is one of those "death by powerpoint with 500 bullets on each slide and yes this will be on the test" classes. My wrist is not pleased. Luckily, one of my friends had the class last semester and had asked the professor if they could send her the powerpoints and they did. She sent them to me so BAM! no more 2 hours and 40 minutes of continuous writing for me.
7. Steph and I met some of the Indians players a few days ago at the 'Tribe on Tour' at Great Northern mall. It was an epic time of epicness. :)
