So far I haven't failed any of the tests I took this week, thank grilled cheesus. I somehow pulled an A out of my ass for film and got C's on my listening and written test for music. On both the music ones I did wayy better than expected, especially after I found out half my music was labeled wrong so I was studying wrong. I know I could have done a hell of a lot better one the written one if I had studied better. Luckily I didn't do as bad as some people and I'll do better in a few weeks for the next exams.
Soo I've been invited to join the NAEYC, the National Association for the Education of Young Children!!!!!!!!!! :DDDDDD Suuuuper excited. They want to start doing stuff with our club and get some involvement on campus. I'm so pumped. This is exactly what we wanted for the club but didn't think we would get the recognition so soon.
I was talking to my friend Meghan about student teaching because she's doing it this semester and it sounds sooo much like TEE so luckily I'm prepared for the massive amounts of work. Except this time I have to come up with 8 lesson plans (eek!) and get to teach a lesson or two each week at my placement. I'll also get to make a bulletin board and lead storytimes. I'm beyond freakin excited for this. We also get to make a portfolio which I'm also excited about because I've become an expert at portfolio making! I'm going to have to hunt down some fun teacher paper :)
So yeah, there's a shitload of excitement going on here. A lot of people have said you'll look back to your days in college and remember them as the best years of your life. They have been some amazing (and beyond crazy busy) years and I definitely look forward to see what comes next.
